Lead-free* DZR brass bodies give SharkBite fittings the strength to withstand chemical corrosion on the material, preventing dezincification found with lower quality brass. *Under the Safe Drinking Water Act, lead-free products contain less than 0.25% lead.
Our strong and safe EPDM o-rings are specifically engineered with a stronger seal than other push-to-connect products. They are chloramine resistant and certified by ASSE 1061.
SharkBite only uses 316 grade stainless steel grab rings in our fittings to ensure a strong, secure connection and high corrosion resistance in all conditions.
