Installation Steps

1. Preparation: Cut the pipe squarely, use the deburring tool to smooth the edges, and clean the pipe with emery cloth to remove oxidation, ensuring the internal EPDM O-ring remains undamaged.

2. Measuring: Inspect the O-ring for cleanliness, consult the official SharkBite depth chart for your pipe size, and mark the correct insertion depth on the pipe.

3. Fitting: Slide the fitting over the pipe while twisting slightly until it hits the end stop and the mark aligns with the edge of the fitting.

4. Pressing: Position the press tool squarely around the fitting and activate it until the jaw fully engages.

5. Verification: Inspect the seal visually and perform a final pressure test using air or water to ensure the system is leak-free and ready for use.
