Avoid Incorrect Installations By

Ensuring you are using the correct fitting for the pipe type and function. Check the collar colors for pipe compatibility. Gray collars connect to polybutylene, white connects to PVC, and tan connects to PEX, copper, CPVC, PE-RT and HDPE SDR-9 pipe.
Always mark the insertion depth on your pipe so you know that the fitting is pushed in all the way.
First generation fittings are specifically designed to ensure a reliable connection but should not be disconnected and reconnected repeatedly. The only way to properly remove SharkBite fittings is to use the SharkBite disconnect tongs, clip or tool.
