Testimonial: Residential Repipe by Cannon Plumbing

My name is Clint McCannon and I'm the owner of Cannon Plumbing. I've been a professional plumber for about 14 years.  

We are completely re-piping the water supply lines in this house, both hot and cold, because the material used when it was first constructed was Polybutylene, which has been known to cause leaks and water damage.

We're using SharkBite EvoPEX fittings and piping, going all the way from the meter to the fixture. I was introduced to SharkBite fittings when I first got into the trade. Now, they are essential to me doing plumbing, I use them all the time. You don't have to wait for glue to dry or water to stop dripping; they're fast and easy to use.

Because this is a complete re-pipe, sometimes I have to move stuff out of the way, like sheetrock or tile, to get to the plumbing. Once I get to the actual piping, SharkBite doesn't require a lot of tools to install.  

With EvoPEX, it's really neat the way it works. It has a green indicator ring, so as soon as I push the pipe in, I don’t have to question if it’s connected.

On this particular re-pipe, we put in an ice maker box, a washing machine box and a faucet connector. We also installed a new tankless water heater, and we used all SharkBite. I love how easy it was to use, it was so fast.  

I'd recommend to any plumber who's never used SharkBite to give it a shot. Not only does it save you time and money, it's a better product. Their pipe and fittings are great. The job site performance for SharkBite is just incredible, it's top-of-the-line.
