Plumbing Rough-In
Dustin and the team of experienced plumbers at GLT Plumbing used the SharkBite PEX-a and expansion system, along with SharkBite Max fittings, to rough in this new construction home. With these SharkBite products, their team just needs an expansion tool, PEX cutters, a screwdriver and screws to get the job done.

I truly believe PEX-a and expansion is the fastest way to plumb a new construction house.
Normally on jobs like this, they stub out and cap off, but instead, they used HoldRite fixture boxes that have integrated stop valves and debris covers. This is a perfect set up for sheet rockers to come in and do their sheet rock. After that, you simply take off the debris cover and attach the supply lines. As Dustin recounts, it saves a ton of time on the job site.
On this rough-in, they used HoldRite ice maker box and washing machine box as well as fixture boxes at all the stub outs, including the vanities and the toilets. Because the products they installed come from the same manufacturer, it’s covered under one warranty. For Dustin, that gives him peace of mind as a plumber, and the same goes for the future homeowner.

Fixture Trim-Out
Since the house was roughed-in with HoldRite fixture boxes, it made the trim-out very easy. All that Cade and the trim-out crew had to do was unscrew the debris cover, screw the escutcheon on and hook the waterline up. Plus, HoldRite offers two different size escutcheons that will cover up any imperfections in the sheetrock so you have a nice, smooth finish every time.
For the dishwasher, they used the Eastman Flood Defender, which is basically the same supply line you would use, but it has a leak detector on it, so if it detects a burst in the line, it will automatically shut off that line.
Water Heater Installation
Cade and his crew at GLT Plumbing used all RWC products to install a new water heater. To set up the water heater, they used a HoldRite stand and pan with a drain line that ran out of the home.
Using all products from brands of one manufacturer makes things really easy and efficient, and they're all covered under the same warranty, so it's more peace of mind for the homeowner.
They also installed an Eastman expansion tank and expansion tank tee, SharkBite Max water heater connectors and SharkBite PRV. In Cade’s experience, using the Max flexible hoses on the water heater were very convenient. All you have to do is tighten them onto the water heater, flex them and push them onto your pipe wherever you need them. Using products from RWC’s family of brands made for a faster, more efficient installation.
