Solar Decathlon 2015

SharkBite® Plumbing Solutions sponsors Clemson University students in building an energy-efficient house to compete in bi-annual design/build competition put on by the U.S. Department of Energy.

SharkBite & Clemson Solar Decathlon 2015

SharkBite® Plumbing Solutions is proud to sponsor Clemson University students in building an energy-efficient house to compete in the 2015 Solar Decathlon–a bi-annual design/build competition put on by the U.S. Department of Energy. The team has named the project Indigo Pine, and SharkBite has joined the project's family tree by providing locally distributed SharkBite push-fit plumbing products to efficiently create the home's plumbing system on-site at the competition in October. Equipped with plumbing fittings and PEX pipe, the design/build team will be accessorized to easily build an operable water delivery system with SharkBite connection system products. Our signature push-fit fittings will provide instant, watertight connections with no solder, clamps, unions or glue required, and our PEX pipe (cross-linked polyethylene pipe) will provide an easy-to-install, potable water tubing system that offers flexibility. When installed together, these products offer the fastest way to plumb any project with high-performing results. Join us in following Clemson's journey to Irvine, CA in October to compete against sixteen other colleges and universities in building the ultimate affordable and energy-efficient home. Go Team Indigo Pine!
