Information

SharkBite is the Push-Fit connection system that is really taking hold. It’s the easiest way to join copper, CPVC or PEX pipe in any combination with no soldering, clamps, unions or glue. Just insert the pipe and the stainless steel teeth bite down and grip tight, while a specially formulated O-ring compresses to create a perfect seal. Disassembly is just as fast using the simple disconnect tool so fittings and valves can be easily changed and reused. They can even be rotated after assembly for easier installation in tight spaces. Get SharkBite and get a grip on your next plumbing project.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved SO much time. I used these to replace my hot water heater a couple months back. It took me a total of 5 minutes to cut out the old water heater and connect the new one, provided that the old was already drained. It really helped that I could tighten the threaded end even after I had connected the fitting to the solid copper.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Looks Good The Sharkbite connection was easy. My issue was the threaded end. It should have come with a rubber washer. Instead you have to use the tape which adds time. Bought 2. After installing and turning the water on one had a leak. Had to take apart and do again. There was no way of knowing if it came with the rubber washer as it was not in the description or a picture showing inside the threaded end. Also the only rubber washers the store had was for garden hoses.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from life saver The easiest way to hook up a water softener. And compared to other (multiple) adapters required, this is comparable in price.
