Rated 1 out of 5 by from sharkbites are awesome this product sucks !!! the way this product shows up is configured to no plumbing codes in America. you will have to work hard and alter this product. not diy unless you have skills in plumbing. you have to take valves apart to reconfigure so I guess you better buy pipe dope or Teflon tape when you put it back together. it would of been better to put the stuff in the box unassembled at least half the work of redoing the set up would be half done. the knockouts do not knock out and 3 have to be done. hope I dont break the cheap box as I fight with this. show me on the web site where it shows you how to reconfigure and do the knock outs. very disappointed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Leaks! Like a few others have mentioned, this product leaks from a poorly designed connection between the valve and the shark bite fitting. A small o ring is the only thing standing between that connection and a flood inside your wall. That o ring came pinched from the factory on the hot water side and leaked immediately. Tried to reseat it and it still leaked. Tried to replace with a new o ring plus Teflon pipe dope and it still leaked. I give up. Going to have to replace the whole darn thing again. I use shark bite fittings all the time but this is just poor execution. Stay away from this product until a redesign.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love Sharkbite, hate "knockout" outlets Sharkbite connections make any plumbing job easy. Box was easy to install and plumb but what is with the knockout ports? Obviously, Sharkbite invented this system on bring your kid to school day. No, wait, that does a disservice to the kids, any one of whom could have come up with a better system. Forget the screwdriver they suggest. Use a wood chisel, bevel side down. Even then, you will be wondering why this should be so difficult. C'mon Sharkbite. Use your heads!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not quite what I was hoping for I have used sharkbite fittings and valves before with success; however, this product was a bit disappointing. Installation was easy. Unfortunately after mounting the box and connecting the drain, cold water, and hot water pipes, I turned the water back on to find that the cold water valve leaks through the valve. This only creates a problem when hoses are not connected, as the solenoid valves in the washing machine act as a 2nd stop. Long story short, if you buy this product, you may also have to buy hose caps to put on the valve outlets when your washing machine is not connected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SharkBites offer easy instillation This is a great kit if you're redoing your laundry room. Outlet box comes with water hammer arrestors which prevent water hammer. Old washer machines typically don't produce water hammer, but newer machines with fast shutting values can cause some water pounding which arrestors can prevent that. The sharkBites slip on easily and hold. My first SharkBite install was about 6 yrs ago and shows no signs of leakage. So if you can't solder due to small space or a slow water flow (shut off value leaks), then go for the SharkBite. It's more expensive, but it will save you on time and frustration. Rated 1 out of 5 by from Warning: Check for bulging O-rings and use Teflon tape on the joints I wish I would have read the reviews before purchasing this product. As with many other reviewers I had a massive leak at the box caused by the bulging O-ring in the threads. I removed the damaged O-rings on both valves and used a ton of Teflon tape to stop the leaks after having water blow out all over the place.. After reading more of the reviews, I am petrified that this will not be enough and my new drywall job will have to be opened up again. I love Sharkbite products, but this is not a very good product offering.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice quality item This unit looks like very good quality and I'm anxious to get it installed. I got this to replace two spigots in my laundry room that won't shut off. And I need a plumber to remove what's there and replace it with this unit. Unfortunately, I need to wait to install it because it could cost anywhere from $200 - $400 plus miscellaneous parts to get it installed. I am excited to get this done because I never know when something's going to burst and flood the below grade floor of my split level home. The damage could be much more than the cost to install it, I just have to save up the money first. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from overall good product Easy installation on copper pipes. Knockout of drain hole was a pain since there were no pre-scored weak areas i had to use a chisel to knock out the drain then i file the sharp edges, i like the design because you can choose where is your drain (left, right or center) for center you have to flip 180 degree and reinstal the valves in new holes (more pain with knock out the holes). the other thing that i did not know is that noise (banging) was coming from my washer this box take care of that i would recommend this product to my friends but i will make them ready for punching the holes it is really hard and do it before is in the wall or you will break the box. also the hammer things must point up (as you see it in the picture) or will not work [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Do you have a ice maker 1/4 pipe fitting that fits 1/2 pex? I used a washing machine box that uses a 1/4 turn lock in?  The base piece is molded to the valve. Please help.

Dumb question, but for the 25031, should the valves be pushed all the way up to open, or just half way?

Asked by: John IWC
Hello, The handles on the valve move left and right. If the handle is pushed all the way to the left the valve will be closed. If the handle is pushed all the way to the right the valve will be fully open. If the handle is not pushed all the way to the right you will not receive full flow. Best regards,

How Do you disconnect the push to connect fittings?

Asked by: Chad H
Hello, To release a SharkBite fitting please follow the steps shown below. Please note that pulling on the fitting or pipe prior to compressing the release collar will make removal more difficult. 1. Place the SharkBite disconnect clip around the pipe with the non-branded face against the release collar. If using the SharkBite disconnect tongs, place the teeth around the fitting assembly. The fork end with the SharkBite brand logo should be positioned around the pipe and the other end around the neck of the fitting. 2. Push the clip so that it compresses the release collar and then pull the pipe with a twisting action. If using the SharkBite disconnect tongs, squeeze the tool with one hand and pull the pipe with a twisting action to release the pipe. 3. Check the fitting and pipe end for damage. The fitting and pipe should be free of damage, foreign objects and marks on the outside diameter. If the pipe is damaged or marked, then cut and use a new section of pipe. Best regards,

I need the drain to be in the center, how do I move the hot and cold water valves to the other side of the box

Asked by: Chad H
Hello, The push-to-connect portion located on the outside of the box can be unthreaded from the top portion of the valve, which will allow you to re-position it so that it works for your application. Best regards,

do you sell just the red and blue shut off plastic handles for the washer type? These plastic handles were 'stripped' by my tenant and now i cannot turn the valves. I have the "box assembly" with the two valves combo.
