Just got this SharkBite fitting to ease the work installing a new bathroom sink and faucet. Laying on my back and fussing with compression fittings is not my idea of a good day., so these fittings are the answer. It is easy to connect the faucet special National Pipe Straight fitting to the normal 1/4 in tube from the wall shut off. Tighten the female pipe fitting by hand and slip the PEX, CBVC, PE-RT, or copper tube in use into the SharkBite adapter fitting. Make sure to slightly taper the outside edge of the tubing and mark the depth to insert into the fitting. No leaks and minimal contortion time. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Locally they are only available in faucet kits which include everything you need for a kitchen or bath faucet installation, values, pipe to the connector and this connector. To get just the connector you have to order on line. As with every sharkbite I have installed in the rental they just snap together and do not leak. On that last job I installed these did not like the result so took it all apart cut the lines shorter and snapped it together and same result, no leaks. Another great plumbing part invention from SharkBite since the invention of the plumber himself. This worked perfectly and easily for my undersink water filter installation. It hooked right up to the 3/8" plastic PEX water line I used to the cold water inlet on the faucet. The only other item I saw that would work in this situation, was cheap plastic parts I didn't trust not to leak. This connector is well made and sturdy as all other SharkBite products and it did not leak. Another top quality SharkBite connector. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

A guy has to know his limits...(Clint Eastwood movie). Well, I'll tell you right Now, plumbing is mine!! If there is an easier way to mess with all things plumbing, I am going to find it and use it!!!! Sure, it might cost a tad more, but, for me, one trip to the big box stores instead of my usual 4-10 trips to fix a broken ANYTHING plumbing and I am using it!! Biggest plus for me, no gas, solder, flux....and no more problems!!! Happy camper right here! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

If you're changing out sink faucet and already have the lines from the supply line faucet to the , this Sharkbite allows you to install the new faucet quickly and use the existing 1/4 inch supply line. For the DIY'er like me, I like easy but I also like reliable with no leaks. Just turn off the supply valve, cut the supply line end closest to the existing faucet, remove the old faucet, set the new faucet and secure it, screw the faucet connector to the new faucet and slip the old supply line into the connector. Nowaday, connecting your water system either bathroom faucet, filter system, kitchen faucet or else. The SharkBite system given you the most free of trouble without welding the copper pipe any more. Just snap and push will be done. also, they work on different piping material, Copper, PVC, PE-Rt or PEX. cut the correct size and push it to snap connector. the job is done. If you want to see more sample of installation of this connector, you may visit you-tube for video demonstration. For those who going to replace the old leaking water piping, try this simple and fast work connector. your job will sharp done. Don't forget, their material is quite good quality one. If you want to release the coupling, there need a special tool to press on the lock ring then the pipe will release smoothly. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

i am totally confused with all the parts and questions!!!!!!!!! i want to connect two sinks to a 1/2 pex push to fit 1 kitch and 1 bath.?

Asked by: jj11
It sounds like you just need a straight or angle stop. These connect 1/2" PEX (supply line) to 3/8" OD tubing, which is what is found in sinks for kitchen and bathroom. Straight stop - 23037-0000LF Angle stop - 23036-0000LF If you still are confused, please call in to our tech line at 877-700-4242 and we can help you out.

Need an end cap for 1/2" heavy chrome/copper pipe

Asked by: cval1
Good morning, We would not recommend using any of our products on a chrome pipe. All our fittings are only certified with Copper, PEX or CPVC.

Is this only for use in exposed areas, or is it approved for use in enclosed walls? How about if there is a service panel access?

Asked by: quoki
Good morning, The only products we offer that can no be used behind wall without an access panel are the flexhoses. This item would be okay to be used that way.

Most red ans blue water supply lines are now 3/8 and 1/2 faucet fitting.Do you make a push on for this so you just unscrew the fitting from the faucet and not have to reclamp ring or whatever to the fitting?????

Asked by: Bigeagle
The faucet connector in the photo works with 1/4" PEX which is 3/8” OD tubing. That is most likely what you are asking for.
