SharkBite EvoPEX End Caps are the easiest way to cap off your PEX tubing lines. With no soldering, clamps, unions or glue required, it’s as simple as inserting the pipe into the push-to-connect fitting deep enough to be sealed by our specially-formulated O-ring. Once inserted, the stainless steel teeth bite down and grip the pipe. A green indicator ring will become fully visible in four slots around the fitting to visually display that the permanent inner-diameter connection is secure. This push-to-connect fitting is designed to make PEX-to-PEX connections in potable water and radiant heating (including underground or behind-the-wall) applications with no access panels required. Fittings are rated to 80 psi @ 200°F, 100 psi @ 180°F, and 160 psi @ 73.4°F.

Can I use an 1/2 inch SharkBite end stop on polybutylene
No, unfortunately our end stops are not compatible with polybutylene (PB). To connect to PB you will need to use one of our transition coupling (link below). The transition coupling will allow you to transition from PB to copper, PEX, CPVC, PE-RT or HDPE.
