Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to install whole-house water pressure regulator The SharkBite slide-on connectors really DO work well for many years. Either copper tube or PEX. Use the inexpensive SharkBite reamer/marker tool to deburr your pipe and mark the correct depth. I have used SharkBite extensively and love the stuff. This 3/4" valve will work well if you have very high pressure, such as city mains and you are on the downhill end of the city. If your water pressure is just slightly high, this valve may not do much. It has significant pressure drop at high flow. For regulating a slightly high water supply for a house, you may need to go up to the 1-1/4" size (with the necessary adapters). [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

After installation, the water dispenser made a sputtering noise and water came out very unevenly. Since I'm within 1 mile of a rural water tower, our water pressure is high. I decided to install a water regulating valve ahead of the refrigerator. I've used several SharkBite products with great success, so the decision to buy this valve was easy. I took me 10 minutes to gather the tools and make the installation. After installation, water flows smoothly and quiet from the dispenser. The thing I really like about SharkBite products; if you have problems you can easily take the assembly apart and reinstall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy Installation and Setup As a part whole house plumbing system updating, I have chosen to regulate our city water supply with the SharkBite EB-45 ¾” bronze direct push-fit x push-fit pressure regulator. Once I identified a suitable location to install the pressure regulator (PR,) I measured and marked the location where the pipe was to be removed. Next, I turned off my water supply, bleed-off the existing water pressure from the system, closed nearby shut-off valves to minimize water loss, and then made my cuts on the plumbing. Although, most of my updated plumbing is PEX, I chose to use ¾” copper from my meter to the PR valve, and my whole house water filter. When installing the PR valve, make sure your pipes are clean and bur free. Firmly push to fit the connections. Using a pressure gauge (Not supplied) set your desire pressure, and you’re done! Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great It is so easy to install, after I replaced galvanize pipes in my house for copper I was surprise to see the water pressure was at 120psi, So i went to home depot and purchase this one as it is so easy to instal, 10 minutes later I was done. There is an arrow that shows the direction of water, so it has to be installed that way otherwise it will not work properly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from water regulator I had no problem installing it,took 10 min start to finish,There no noise or vibration some has said it does,i believe they have other problems with there system, and there plenty of water pressure just have to adjust to your psi you like,it set at 40psi from manufacture but can be adjust up to 70psi which is max psi by code.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 10 min install. Great product We have an older home (1940s) and have been experiencing water hammer for a long while. I've tried everything to fix it. On a whim I finally checked out water pressure, and it was 120psi! Way above and beyond the safe level. I found this product, and having used sharkbites before, I went and grabbed one this morning. Took 10 mins total (high estimate on time). Water pressure immediately went down to 45psi. Great product!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This unit was so easy to install it should be illegal! Upon inspection it seemed this product would leak.....NOT it took 30 minutes to measure and cut the pipe. and 1 minute to install the new regulator! I was amazed how secure and well performs.......added great water pressure to my shower and dry as a bone with no soldering.....highly recommend [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Hello - I'm installing an 'EB45' Pressure Reducing Valve, Sharkbite connections on both ends, in an existing 3/4" copper line.  To be sure I cut the correct opening dimension in the existing pipe - I need a 4-15/32 opening? Is there a tolerance too? TIA.

Asked by: Reducer
Hello, The 3/4" Cash Acme EB45-DSB with integrated SharkBite connections has a overall length of 4.48". The insertion depth for 3/4" SharkBite Push-To-Connect fittings is 1.125" so you would want to cut a 2.23" section of pipe out for proper installation. http://www.cashacme.com/cashacme/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/EB45-DSB_Spec_2017.pdf Thank you

What is the maximum flow (GPM) of the 1" EB45-DSB.  I am getting a 15-20 PSI pressure drop when I use more than multiple facets at a time.

Asked by: jacob_in_CA
Good afternoon, When opening multiple fixtures, you will see a PSI loss. Your flow rate will increase but the pressure built up in the water line will fall off since there are more ways for the pressure to travel. You will need to increase the setting on your valve if you plan to use multiple fixtures on a regular basis. I need to increase the pressure from 45psi to 60psi how many turns to the right will it take to do that? I don't have a pressure gage

Asked by: hawk
Good morning, There isn't a such guide regarding turn amount that equals a certain PSI. 1/4 turn is roughly 4-5 PSI. You should get a pressure gauge to make sure you have the desired PSI you need for your building. We offer Push-To-Connect fittings with gauges. My pressure regulator will not go above 45psi. I have tried turning the bolt as instructed, however the PSI does not exceed 45.

Asked by: Bryan76
Good morning, During installation, some debris may have become stuck in your valve. Please do the following: - Remove the cartridge and clean it so that nothing is clogging it - Confirm your incoming PSI is higher then 45 PSI After doing the above, please give us a call at 1-877-700-4242 between 8 am - 6 pm est Monday through Friday or by e-mail at techsupport@cashacme.com and we will be happy to work with you on the next steps to resolve this issue.

My city is bringing a water tower online in a few weeks and said the preasure may go as high as 80 to 90 psi and we need to install a PVR. Would this product handle that level of preasure on the inlet side and reduce it down to the listed 10 to 70 PSI

Asked by: Db34
Greeting DB34, After further review, this PRV can withstand up to 200 PSI due to the restriction of the SharkBite connections. The previous response was incorrect. Your system is still within the operation range for this product. If you have any concerns or questions, please feel free to reach out to our Customer Service Team at 1-877-700-4242 between 8 am - 6pm est Monday through Friday or at techsupport@cashacme.com.
