Information

SharkBite Ball Valves are the easiest way to install or replace a shut-off valve into your potable water or hydronic water heating system. The push-fit connections allow you to join to Copper, PEX, CPVC or PE-RT pipe in any combination without a need for soldering, clamps, glue or unions. These valves come with a drain to allow you to empty the water line and then shut off the supply with no hassle. The valve is easily rotated after installation making it easier to reach the shutoff, or to work in tight spaces.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes life much easier... Has been collecting dripping water from the drain using the old valve, thinking the water might have come from the sprinkler system. Turned out the old valve couldn't seal tight any more after some valve experimenting (no water dripping after shutting down the main valve). This SharkBite valve made the replacement work so easy. Measure, cut, mark, and push in. It is actually a little longer than the original valve, which has also saved me from buying a slip coupling (needed if your pipe doesn't move much to make the connection). A little more expensive than the traditional sweat valve, but works great and saves lots of time. Good price from HomeDepot. No water dripping from the drain any more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LOVE SHARK BITE If you can cut pipe you can install SharkBite. Measure twice, cut once. It is simple, it is clean, it is neat -- it works. I have installed various SharkBIte components in two house in the last year -- no leaks. I'm sold. I am now starting to use their PEX piping and am very happy with that as well. I am an amateur, not a professional and was reluctant to learn to solder, this saved me and possibly both houses. READ ALL INFORMATION YOU CAN FIND AND WATCH EVERY VIDEO YOU CAN FIND. Practice cutting and connecting a few times before trying it for real.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a great product that is easy to install. I installed two of these valves for future isolation of water lines in the event of low temperatures that could cause freezing and busted pipes. These valves have an added feature for draining after the vavle is close.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As advertised & easy to install I used the Shark-bite shut off valve w/ waste to replace the Shark Bite slip T coupler & pressure gauge configuration, I used to verify the pressure while adjusting a water pressure regulator. Because it's basically the same length & gives me the ability to shut off water & drain line with 1 product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I will never have to solder copper pipe again. Sharkbite products are outstanding (pricey - yes... I will never have to solder copper pipe again. Sharkbite products are outstanding (pricey - yes). If you are looking for a sure proof way to reconnect copper pipe without messing with having to solder, then this is the product for you. That said - I had to order this item from Home Depot and it took the better part of 2 weeks to get it to the store. So if you are in a hurry, you might want to check for these else where. HD does have a large array of Sharkbite products, so you might find what you need at HD.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shark Bite Ball valve Previous 25 year old globe valves leak after time, causing ice build up in outside faucets, leading to pipe freeze and cracks. Utilized the SharkBite ball valves w/drains for my outside faucets. Very easy to install. Works great. And don't leak!!

Questions

So the 22304-0000LF is a ‘slip’ ball valve where you can push valve past the gauge mark and the use disconnect clip to pull back to connect?

Asked by: GregD
Hello, Part # 22304-0000LF is a regular 1/2" push-to-connect ball valve (without the slip feature). If you are looking for our 1/2" push-to-connect slip ball valve you will want to use part # 24735LF. Please see the link below. http://www.sharkbite.com/sharkbite/wp-content/uploads/SB_SlipBallValve_SpecSheet_061515.pdf Thank you

I bought a Ball Valve with Drain (#22223-0000LF) from Home Depot, however it doesn't have any obvious drain cap like in the pictures here! Is there another way to make this valve drain? If so, what is the proper direction to install this valve?

Asked by: Kurt H
Hello, Part # 22223-0000LF is our 1" push-to-connect ball valve that does not have a drain. Unfortunately, there is no way to add a drain to this valve. Part # 22306-0000LF is our 1" push-to-connect ball valve with drain. Part # 22223-0000LF can be installed in either direction but part # 22306-0000LF should be installed with the drain side of the valve on the outlet side of the line. Thank you

Does the drain come on the other side? The way this drain is, I am draining the supply side or the drain is on the top.

Asked by: Ron08844

What fitting will attach to the drain on the 22304-0000LF 1/2 inch, to allow a hose to be connected, or a drain line?

Asked by: Robert E
Hi - The thread on the outlet of this valve is 1/8-in thread. We recommend purchasing a 1/8-in Female Threaded Air Line and using that to connect to the valve and drain the valve. A search for "1/8 Air Hose" will yield some options that will work depending on what length you are looking for.
